I've been typing resumes, covering letters, postcards and envelopes again today. I now have a total of thirty-one to go out in the mail tomorrow, with my unemployment form.

I've shampooed the carpet in Mom's room and the bathroom. I touched up the paint in my bedroom and painted the dehumidifier extension cord to match the wall color. I stapled it around a door to make it look neater and nearly invisible. I touch-up painted some furniture that was chipped in the middle bedroom, so the chips are less noticeable. I've finished boxing up all of Mom's stuff and it is ready to go to the attic as soon as the weather breaks. I have been busy again today and probably will be from now on, trying to get a job and at least one roommate, although two would be ideal. A man and a woman would be better yet. A man will mow the grass and take out the garbage, while another woman will keep the house clean in the summer, while I am taking care of the swimming pool. The swimming pool will be helpful in getting roommates, because summer will be here soon, and so will the high humidity and hot temperatures.

I answered a survey on the phone about national and state political offices that are up for election this year. Someone may be trying to listen after all.
