Janette, a girlfriend from my old life, when times were good, moved into a vacant house nearby last month with her boyfriend. She invited me to a keg party she was having tonight. I hurriedly vacuumed the pool, bought and added $20.00 of pool chemicals, took a bath, put on makeup, gave myself a manicure and went to the party. I had a good time. It certainly felt good to get out of the house and my yard for a change, even if it was just down my block.

Both my roommates went to the party for awhile, and then went swimming in my pool.
