I walked into my kitchen and my range hood light was flickering off and on. I though maybe the bulb was loose or about ready to burn out, but when I tightened it, it tripped the kitchen fuse and all the kitchen lights went out. I went to the hallway to put in another fuse, then went back into the kitchen. Flames were coming out of my toaster bread slots. I grabbed the toaster by the handles and set it outside on the concrete driveway. My toaster wasn't on the same wiring circuit as my range hood and no other fuses were bad. The fire went out while my toaster was outside, and when I brought it inside and plugged it in, it worked.
I got a letter from Rob, a friend , who has three children and visits from time to time. He is working in another state. I will miss him too.
