When I went out to Mom's house at noon, after putting $1.50 in the gas tank, the contractor had already dug up about twelve feet of dirt and found the leak. Then I went for a job intervie from my newspaper ad under 'Situations Wanted'.

The job is taking care of an eighty-nine year old woman. The hours are 7PM to 9AM Sunday through Saturday nights and 1PM Saturday to 1 PM Sunday. The wages are $15.00 a night, but the extra day hours pay $3.00 an hour. I would be making $135.00 for 108 hours a week, $1.25 an hour. It pays cash.

I went back over to Mom's house. No one was there and the trench in the ground had been filled in. When Greg got home, he called the contractor and the total price for fixing Mom's plumbing leak was only $195.00.

I wrote my landlord a letter telling him about all the things that had to be repaired , and that I wouldn't be able to make a house payment until I received an unemployment check. The Great Gas God bill arrived today, and I now owe $92.85. This month's bill was $58.08. That bill won't get paid this month either unless I get the job.

The pool is very green today , and no one has gone swimming in it, so I don't think that I'll have a lot of people over here from now on. By the time I have the money to get chemicals for it, it will be too cold to go swimming. I didn't swim in it this year, not once.

The back screen and storm door is also falling apart, and must be taken off the door frame and be fixed too.
