Ruth woke up at 11PM, 12AM, 12:20AM and 2:30AM after being given fifteen milligrams of Restoril at 9PM. She was very loud and repetitive at 2:30AM, when I gave her another fifteen milligrams of Restoril. She finally went back to sleep at 3:10AM. I got about two hours consecutive sleep, and not much more un-consecutive sleep. I wrote to my boss stating that the Restoril doesn't work, even splitting thirty milligrams in two separate doses. The neighbors can't sleep when Ruth doesn't sleep, because Ruth's loud repetitiveness would wake anyone.
I went directly to Mom's house when I got off from work at Ruth's. No one was home, and though I made a dickens of a mess, I finished putting up the breezeway ceiling tile, all except for six pieces that were missing.
I went home, petted my dogs, grabbed the newspaper and went to work at Ruth's. Ruth was asleep when I arrived, plus another hour and fifteen minutes, before she wanted to get up. I told her implicitly that if she got up, she was going to stay up until bedtime. With the catheter and new restraints, it isn't the easiest thing in the world to get Ruth up, nor back to bed. After thirty seconds, literally since I timed it, Ruth kept repeating, "Will you take me back?", consecutively from 7:50PM to 9PM. At 9 o'clock I gave her medicine, fed her a snack, put lotion on her and put her to bed at 9:30PM. She promptly fell asleep. Amazingly, she did sleep pretty well last night, and I did too.
